A gorgeous handmade sterling silver ring with lucious deep blue Lapis Lazuli. This ancient stone was famously described by the Roman natural historian, Pliny the Elder, as "a fragment of the starry firmament," in admiration of its deep blue colour with gilttering specs of gold and the ancient Egyptians saw Lapis as a symbol of the night sky.
The circular cut out shapes on the edges of the silver band, on either side of the gemstone, contribute to the originality and intrigue of the design. This really is an original and striking ring that guarantees to be seen and admired!
Lapis Lazuli encased stone has a 26mm height at the front and is 17mm at widest point. Band at back is 6mm wide.
