About Silver Bubble — online handmade Mexican silver jewellery since 2008!

I'm Heidi, and Silver Bubble began with a suitcase, a passion for travel, and a small personal collection of Mexican silver jewellery I couldn't stop buying.

After years of travelling and falling deeply in love with the silverworking tradition of Taxco, Mexico, the idea of sharing that passion with others in the UK became impossible to ignore. What started as a market stall grew into something we could never have predicted — over 28 years of festivals, fairs, and thousands of customers who've become part of the Silver Bubble story.

Taxco de Alarcón has been Mexico's silverworking capital for over 300 years. Tucked into the mountains of Guerrero state, it's a town where silversmithing isn't a trade — it's a way of life, passed from parents to children across generations.

We work directly with silversmiths and artisan producers. That direct relationship means we can vouch for every piece: the quality of the silver, the skill of the maker, and the story behind each design. Many are inspired by pre-Columbian Aztec and Mayan heritage; others reflect the nature, flora and folk art of Mexico.

What makes Silver Bubble different is that our jewellery has names behind it — real silversmiths whose collections you can explore on the site. Over 28 years we've built lasting relationships with makers like Guillermo Arregui, Armando and others — artists whose craft we're proud to bring to the UK. Explore the individual collections here.

My partner and I have had a festival stall, Shilpa Silver, every summer for 28 years — our daughter has joined us for all 21 years of her life! Long before online shopping existed, festivals or markets were how people found us. You might have discovered us at Glastonbury, Bearded Theory, End of the Road, Green Man, Cropredy, or perhaps at Manchester or Bath Christmas market back in the early 2000s.
